Grandma had it right

Have you noticed how the modern way of doing things is ruining the environment and our social values. We seem to be making a right mess of it.

Now - Young people have the reputation of being trouble makers, we have little community support, suspicion of strangers, emphasis on material wealth .... there is a long list!

Then - apprenticeships, working at 14!, marrying and having children (no birth control), leaving your back door open, extended families, no divorce!!

When you reflect on it there are some drawbacks to the good old days.!!

I shall continue my rumination later. I am off to acrue some material possessions.
